After a successful career as a business owner in the medical industry, in 2002, Brenda Thompson made the decision to pursue real estate, something she had always had a strong interest in. Licensed in 2002 and began her real estate career with Keller Williams. It turned out to be a perfect fit and she was a top-producing rookie that year. In 2004, she got her Broker’s license, opened her own firm and built a team of successful Realtors.

Continuing the success of Thompson’s own firm, she was approached by United Real Estate, who were looking for someone with the experience, knowledge and expertise to launch their flagship office. In 2011, she agreed to become the Managing Broker for the very first United Real Estate office in the nation. In only three years the Dallas office has grown to over 240 agents and reached more than 150 million in sales volume for 2014.

Thompson’s dedication to advancement in her career may be noted in the many designations/certifications she has achieved, which include ABR, ASR, CRS, ePRO, GRI, RECS, SFR and TAHS. She previously served on the Board of Directors at Collin County Association of Realtors. She is currently participating in the TRLP MetroTex Leadership Academy Class 24.

Dan Duffy, CEO of United Real Estate, also credits the hard work of Thompson with being at the core of the office’s success. Thompson has been named Best Realtors in Dallas by D Magazine and was recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine for being a 5 Star Real Estate Professional. Additionally, she is continually expanding her expertise and involvement. She currently serves on the Texas Association of Realtors Professional Development Committee, and the CRS Dallas District Committee.

United Real Estate is expanding Thompson’s role to Area Vice President in addition to her role as Managing Broker. She will guide the development of area franchises, along with her current responsibilities in the original office in Dallas. “I love what I do, and it shows. I think that’s what attracts agents to work with me. They see my excitement, not only for real estate, but for helping them build and develop their businesses. They trust in a Broker who is knowledgeable and well respected in the industry and can strategize and direct for continued future growth. The past three years have been one amazing experience after another, and the future promises to be even more exciting.”

In addition to her busy career, Thompson shares a passion for collecting classic cars with her husband. Their family includes their two rescue boxers, who are the highlight of their home.
